Monday Escapes

I have seen this photograph pop up often in the blogosphere.

Most recently brought to my attention by Design Darling.  The photo was taken by Christian Chaize and is available for purchase here.

It got me thinking...this beach is in Portugal and looks familiar.  Wait a minute, I think I must have been here before or at least nearby:

Although my composition may leave something to be desired, the strikingly similar beach makes me long for the beauty and sunshine of Portugal's Algarve region.

    Too gorgeous. I'd hop on plane on go there right now if I could! I have yet to make it to Portugal (though I've been to its neighbor Spain a lot). That has to change!

    @Haute World-if you have a chance you must make it to Portugal...as beautiful and exciting as Spain is, there is something about Portugal that is so striking and not to be missed!

    Then I must make a trip to Bulgaria some day...I have never been and it sounds beautiful if it looks anything like the streets of Portugal!

    Portugal is at the top of my "must-see" list during my time in Israel!! I keep hoping that we will be able to travel soon. I'm longing for that beach!
