I have been wanting a beautiful arrangement of succulents for a long time--they are low maintenance and add some much needed live plants to our home.  With the demise of my orchid, gifted from my realtor (found out I was over-watering-although I followed instructions!), I replaced the flower with succulents from the same floral shop.  I love how it adds life and greenery to the room, not to mention enhances our home's feng shui:

Here's hoping they last much longer than my poor orchid!

  1. I think I need to invest in some succulents as I tend to kill every other plant I've had. I have a brown thumb it appears. Here's hoping your's will fair a heck of a lot better than anything I've had!

  2. ooh love this. I have some succulents although i have killed both succulents & orchids....

  3. I love succulents! They add such a lush touch to any room.

  4. beautiful arrangement, Kate. Hope you have a lovely Wednesday. :)

  5. Kate, I love your arrangements! I have the same succulent as yours (2 or 3 of them) but my arrangements are not as nice as yours. I am totally your opposite. I seldom killed any orchids but I killed one of my succulent a few weeks ago. I think with orchid, it's better to water them less than over water them. When I was out of the country for six weeks, my orchids are still alive and kicking. The only one time I killed my orchid was when I applied fertilizer as per the instructions. I still don't use those fertilizer till these days!

P/S: Now, my husband only buys me orchids because he knows I can't kill them! :)

  6. Love succulents and we're adding a bowl of them in our new Spring 2012 collection!
