The concept of the lots is that they are narrow and long in order to accommodate a side yard/courtyard. This makes for a pretty view when you are looking out the windows of your living quarters.

I love that these guys (girls?) greeted me today upon entering the neighborhood. They don't look as happy to see me as I was to see them!

How exciting! Must be daunting and thrilling at the same time to be building a house! My in-laws built theirs from scratch and the wonderful thing is that their home is so much more personal because of that. Cute cows, though some do look a little menacing ;-)
